Disney on Ice

We had the opportunity to take the kiddos to Disney on Ice: Mickey and Minnie's Magical Journey at Reliant Arena a few weeks ago.

This was our 4th time at a Disney on Ice production and every time the kids have had a fantastic time so I knew that it was going to be a night to remember.

When you walk into the arena you are surrounded by tons of Disney souvenirs and workers willing to take your picture with a backdrop created with your favorite Disney characters. We decided to get the picture taken with the Mickey and Minnie backdrop. As you can see below it turned out beautifully!

When it was show time, you could feel the enthusiasm and electricity from all the kids in the arena. The music is superb, the skaters are so athletic and mesmerizing, and the costumes help bring the story to life.

My 6 year old and 2 year old enjoyed the whole show and screamed with glee at their favorite stories( Madison being Ariel the mermaid and Christopher when Peter Pan flew across the sky).

I totally recommend the Disney on Ice shows to anyone who has children who love Mickey and Minnie. Its a wonderful thing to see your child's face light up when these wonderful characters come to life!

Disappearing Act?!

Did you all think I disappeared or something?!

Nope, not yet. Just had a busy weekend!

Thursday we took the kids to Disney on Ice. I will post a review and pictures this week.

Kids went to the church on Friday night for Parents Night Out so DH and I could enjoy sometime together. We had a yummy dinner at Carrabba's! YUM!

Saturday I hosted a Passion Party at the house. So much fun! Totally recommend everyone having a party! You can check out my friend's site who hosted my party to order or to contact her about hosting you own party(if you are in the Houston area).

Sunday I did some laundry and finished reading Twilight. Yes I have been sucked into the craze of Twilight! I'm starting New Moon tonight and I can not wait for DH to bring it home for me. Did I mention that I LOVE Edward?

Easter is Sunday!

I can not believe how fast this year is flying by! Seems like 2008 was just yesterday and here we are in April of 2009 and its Easter already!




This is the first year in a few years that we have not gone to San Antonio for Easter. We just decided we would spend this Easter weekend at home. We were hoping for beautiful weather, but unfortunately it looks like Mother Nature wants us to stay indoors this year. It looks to be very wet here in Houston.



The kiddos are out of school on Friday so I will try to keep them entertained with coloring pages and dying Easter eggs. If I really get brave, maybe we will make some sort of Easter craft. Any ideas?



Saturday might be the only somewhat dry day we get, so we maybe hiding eggs on Saturday for the kiddos to find.



I tried to stay away from the candy this year, so my kids will be getting a movie each, some clothes, flip flops and fun little things in their Easter baskets.

I don't have a favorite per say...they are all customized to what you like. I enjoying getting to know my customers and seeing what kind of personality they have by their selections.

I think my shop is different because I can make so many different designs. I have a large supply of paper that allows me to do just about anything my customers are looking for.
