Back to being a coupon fool!

So I took a break from couponing, mainly because I wanted to buy all natural, organic items for my family and of course most of those items do not have coupons out.

But the cost of items are just becoming too much and the way the economy is, its time for me to start saving more money. Im still going to buy organic milk and produce for sure and Christophers shampoo/bodywash will need to be the organic fragrance free stuff since his skin is soo sensitive, but everything else, if I can get it with a coupon you can bet your sweet behind that Im getting it! I will continue to make my own household cleaner though b/c well, its cheap and I actually really like it.

I used to have a big stockpile but I gave some away and even sold some to my mom, but now I need to get it back up and running. I have lots of inserts I need to clip and get my coupon notebook organized. Once I have that done I can take a picture to share.

The first big coupon trip Im going to do is going to be at CVS on Sunday. Loreal Vive Shampoo is buy 1 get 1 free. This past Sunday there was a coupon for Loreal Vive shampoo, b1g1 free. So that is free shampoo! I have 5 of these coupons so that amounts to 10 bottles of shampoo for free!! What a amazing bargain to get started back with dont you agree?!

I had a Dr appt on Thursday, the 9th. I met the new doctor, Dr Norton. She was really nice, but really quick...she was in and out of the room in no time. My friend said it is probably b/c she was behind in appt. I can understand that since my appt time was at 1:30 and I didn't get back into a room till almost 3pm! But I liked her so, that's all that really matters. I have also been really really sick with this pregnancy(lost 7lbs already) so she gave me Zofran and I just have to say that stuff is awesome!! I'm not 100% better but I can eat a little more than I had been which is always good.

I had a ultrasound and on Thursday I was exactly 8 weeks. So due around February 18th-19th. Which is the exact date I had figured out by my own calculations. The ultrasound pic looks like a little blob....LOL You cant really tell that its a baby at all.

I had some blood work done, 5 vials! Ouch! But it is needed by all patients of course. I met with the OB coordinator to find out how much I'm going to have to pay before the baby is born, and let me just say...eating out and spending on non essential items is really going to have to die down here! We have our weeks where we go over board but overall I think we do pretty good, but after getting that number from the OB coordinator I think it needs to go down a little more.

My next appt is August 7th. I have another ultrasound. I will be around 12 weeks, which is too early to tell us the gender but it should look more like a baby and not a blob.
